Loan requested to help Bexhill Citizens Advice

Bexhill Citizens Advice is planning to move into a new headquarters if it receives a £40,000 loan from Rother District Council.

The organisation, which provides free, confidential support, has to leave its base in Bank Chambers, Buckhurst Road, as the landlord is redeveloping the property.

It has found an alternative premises in St Leonards Road and requires the funding to help cover the costs of necessary modifications.

In a report that’s due to be debated by the council’s cabinet next week, officials have recommended that the loan is approved.

“In order to meet their timetable for the relocation of their offices, the Bexhill CA need to undertake the refurbishment works of the new premises as a matter of urgency,” it states.
