POLICE: Bexhill man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder

A Bexhill man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after two men were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Sussex Police say a 21-year-old male is in police custody after the incident that took place in Eastbourne on Tuesday evening (August 18th).

It follows a report of a stabbing in Firle Road about 9.26pm.

Of the victims, a 37-year-old local man remains in hospital this morning (Wednesday 19 August) in a stable condition, while a 33-year-old local man has since been discharged.

Police say this was an isolated incident and they are not seeking anyone else in connection with it at this time.
