Eddie Izzard returns to Bexhill for rooftop shows

Comedian Eddie Izzard is back in Bexhill this week to help celebrate the reopening of the De La Warr Pavilion with a series of performances on the roof!

The actor, who lived in the town and remains one of its greatest supporters, is putting on work-in-progress solo readings of the Charles Dickens classic, Great Expectations.

The shows are taking place on the DLWP rooftop at 3pm from today (Tuesday 4th August) to Sunday 9th August – and then from Wednesday 12th to Sunday 16th August.

And limited tickets are still available for single chairs, a pair of deckchairs, or blanket space for two to four people.

Eddie has enjoyed record-breaking comedy tours and critically acclaimed film, TV and theatre performances.

“All the profits are going to the De La Warr to keep the venue going as the arts are really suffering at the moment,” he said.
